How Do They Work?
The Transparent Light Capture Dome Lens with a Fresnel lens captures and concentrates large quantity of sunlight. Its Lens captures sunrays from low angles and deflects them towards the mounting curb underneath. The sunlight bounces over the shiny inner surface of the mounting curb as it moves downwards towards the Diffuser. The Plain Diffuser Lens then scatters and diffuses the light to provide uniform lighting in the place of installation.
The Skylight Domes could be Single Glazed or Double Glazed depending on the customer’s requirement.

Rhinotuff PC Skylight Domes were designed and developed after years of dedicated efforts by the brightest minds in the Sky Lighting Industry. They are the worthy and much anticipated outcome of advanced scientific research and innovation backed by the most sophisticated technology and manufacturing capability.

The PC Skylight Domes could be Single Glazed or Double Glazed depending on the customer’s requirement. In case of Single Glazed Dome, the Dome Light Capture Lens is mounted over the Mounting Adapter. In case of Double Glazed Domes, the Outer Dome is mounted over the Mounting Adapter, whereas the Inner Dome Light Capture Lens is fitted inside it, but at a distance from the Outside Dome.
In fact, we are one of the very few Sky Lighting Indian Companies that offer Double Glazed Skylight Domes to the Indian and International Market. In case of Double Glazed Domes, the Light from the Outside Dome reaches the Inner Dome first through the Mounting Curb. The significantly reduced and diffused light then moves downwards towards the Diffuser Lens underneath. The Diffuser then evenly distributes and spreads natural light over the floor.
What are the glazing options?
The Rhinotuff PC Skylight Domes can be Single Glazed or Double Glazed. The Double Glazed Domes consist of two Domes – the Outer and the Inner Dome.
The Double Glazed Domes are stronger and provide extra protection. The Double Glazed Domes also help avoid the problem of condensation on the inner cold surface of the Outside Domes, especially during winters, by blocking the hot and moist inside air from coming in contact with the cold surface of the Outer Skylight Dome.
The double glazed Domes transmit a lesser amount of light as compared to the Single Glazed Domes. The Double Glazed Domes act as good thermal and acoustic insulation material as they help block solar heat and unwanted sound in the place of installation
WHICH ONE SHOULD YOU BUY- SINGLE OR DOUBLE GLAZING?
Rhinotuff Single Glazed PC Skylight Domes when compared with Double Glazed Skylight Domes allow a larger quantity of relatively more concentrated light to pass through them.
Rhinotuff Double Glazed Domes, which are more expensive as compared to the Single Glazed Domes. They allow a lesser quantity of light to pass through them as the Inner Dome fitted within the Mounting Adapter filters light and reduces its quantity and intensity both.
The Double Glazed Domes provide extra protection in case of an emergency due to damage to the Outer Dome in the normal course of usage. They are also safer and securer to use as compared to the Single Glazed Domes.
The choice of Single Glazed or Double Glazed Dome is guided by the lighting and safety and security requirements of the end user.
